Ansel Adams

Today, when I was with my guests here at the beach, we all decided to watch Ansel Adams documentary. I love Photography so this movie was especially for me.

My thoughts: I think Ansel Adams, was a very hard working man because of all what he did during his life, he climbed, he photographed and even practiced music and piano. WOW, this guy even worked when he was 80, that is incredible.

I was really impressed by the quality of his images, he was a guy to remember...

Overall, this is one of the movies I needed...

Kill Bill

My first impression when I saw the movie was: "This is going to be a violent movie". It turned out to be like that. Kill Bill is one of the most violent movies I have ever seen, not only because women fight, but because the movie shows its violence at the acme of point.

My thoughts: I think this movie was too violent to be made, I think that women should not fight with blades, women are supposed to be girly and feminine. Overall, I think that this is a movie not so appropriate for children and not so femenine...

Karate Kid ( New One)

I decided to watch Karate Kid the other day while I was at camp. We had this field trip one day that we went to the mall and then went to watch a movie: Karate Kid.

I really liked the movie, but nobody acts as great as Ralph Macchio and old Noriyuki "Pat" Morita. The part that shocked me in the movie was when the little kid (Karate Kid) started to like this chinese girl that was waaaay taller than him, but anyhow, overall it was great.

The part that I most liked was when the Karate Kid beat the chinese kid... he really deserved it, jajaaj

Overall great movie

The Shinning

When my sister came in December with some presents in her suitcase, amongst them was a movie called "The Shinning" which is about a family that goes to live to a house and eventually the dad gets haunted and slowley becomes a madman... he eventually kills everyone in the hotel and at last he wants to kill his own little son!! can you belive that? jaja. He eventually dies freezing to death.

my thoughts: Good movie but, it could have been better if it were longer, it was way to short for all the crazyness that went around...

Fright Night

When I was on my way to the beach the other day, I decided to see a movie called Fright Night, I really think that the movie didn't have much sense at all. I thought it was going to be really frightening, yet it turned out as a peice of boring CD. I really think that it would fall into the Horror/Comedy category because of its diabolic and funny parts.

The movie is about a girl and a boy that live next door to a vampire. The vampire moved next to their house, mom invites him one day but she doesn't know that he is a vampire, so she welcomes him perfectley...

Overall, not so good of a movie... Could be more frightening, could be better..

Haunting in Connecticut

I was in the train that parted from Washington D.C to New York City and I decided to watch the brand new movie that I bought at Barnes and Noble, "The Haunting in Connecticut". Overall great movie.

The movie is about a family in Connecticut that goes to live to a brand new house that supposedly is haunted, yet the family doesn't know this. They think this house is going to be their dream home, but it is full of malevolous spirits from the past. I have to admit that there were very scary parts in the movie, but, there was daylight when I saw it, so I wasn't as scared as if I turned off the lights and saw it on my bed.
The best thing that made this film better, in my opinion, is that is based on true events, so it's nothing that came from the writter's mind, it is something serious. The mom of the kids claimed that this was true, but, some people belive it while others think it is bullshit...

Overall great movie.

Alice in Wonderland

The other day, I saw the movie "Alice in Wonderland", of course, there is no comparasion between the old one and the new one. Its about a 19-year old girl that returns to a magical world from her childhood.
  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1014759/

These are the main actors:

- Johnny Depp (Mad Hatter)
- Mia Wasikowska (Alice)

What I thought of the movie is that it was kind of slow, but them writters didn't have to make such scary clowns and creatures...

But overall, it was a great movie,  I recommend it...
